About Wendy:

Wendy Teasdill began her yoga practice with Pranayama in 1979 and went on to study Iyengar Yoga, the precision and attention to detail of which underpins her practice to this day. She has developed an asana practice which integrates pranic awareness and, often, sound and mantra.

Wendy is a DCT and teaches the Pregnancy Yoga module for the British Wheel of Yoga. Her aim in teaching Yoga is to help people develop autonomy and confidence in their practice. She has published two books: Yoga for Pregnancy and Walking to the Mountain.  www.teasdill.com

When she first became pregnant Wendy was living in Hong Kong, where her practice on the beach started spiralling into a new form, quite unlike the linear approach to which she had been entrained. She was also keen to find out what she should and should not be doing, but now, nearly twenty years later, she knows there is only one answer: `It depends'. Working with  pregnant and post-natal women has taught her more about yoga than any teacher or book, and she finds the work endlessly fascinating and rewarding. Wendy integrates pelvic floor awareness with her Yoga practice, and teaches distance-learning courses on this subject for the British Wheel of Yoga.
