Hari Om
I have been teaching Satyananda Yoga in Dublin since 2004. I currently teach classes in Churchtown and at Lotus Yoga on Wicklow Street.
I have a Yoga Teacher Training Diploma from the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales and am accredited to the The British Wheel of Yoga. I also have a Certificate in Yogic Studies from The Bihar School of Yoga in India and I am a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher, having completed post-graduate training with Yoga Therapy Ireland.
I regularly do in-service training at The Mandala Yoga Ashram, The Galway Yoga Centre and also through The British Wheel of Yoga.
My classes incorporate postures, breathing exercises, yoga nidra (relaxation) and/or meditation. And depending on the level of the class I also incorporate chanting and some aspects of yoga philosophy. The emphasis in each class is on awareness and being present.
You don’t have to be fit or flexible to do Satyananda yoga – the only requirements are that you can breathe and have an interest in learning more about yourself.
This website provides information about my classes as well as information about other Satyananda Yoga teachers in Dublin. It is regularly updated with information about upcoming Satyananda workshops and residential courses throughout Ireland. I hope you find it to be a useful resource.
